Here’s a list of resources for people seeking information on addiction treatment and substance abuse. These are national abuse hotline numbers that operate nationwide.

Drug Addiction Hotline Number

  • SAMHSA national hotline 1-800-662-HELP (4357) offers information on addiction and free referral services in English and Spanish 24 hours a day.

  • The Partnership for a Drug-Free America runs a drug hotline for parents 1-855-DRUG-FREE (378-4373) during business hours.

  • The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence Hope Line 1-800-NCA-CALL (622-2255) for assistance with affiliate programs nationwide.

The Maternal Addiction Center             

The Maternal Addiction Center is a 16 bed program for women and their children. Each client may bring up to 2 children, ages 0 to 5, into care with them. University of Chicago Medicine

Our substance use and addictive behaviors program offers a wide range of treatment services for substance use and compulsive and impulse control disorders. The goals are flexible and may include helping a client to achieve sobriety, prevent relapse, manage stress, identify triggers and high-risk situations, learn new coping skills and become familiar with local support groups.

Advocate Healthcare Clean Start                                                                                                                       

Clean Start is an abstinence-based intensive outpatient program for people with substance use disorders. Group therapy topics include harm reduction education, stress management, problem solving, family dynamics, and relapse prevention. Avance provides the following services:  DUI Classes and Treatment, DUI Evaluations, Substance Abuse Treatment, Partner Abuse Intervention Program, Anger Management Counseling and Parenting Classes.
